Setting Up

• A few days before the workshop starts, you will receive an email with set up instructions. Please follow the instructions to set up PgAdmin on your laptop and access the employees database needed for the workshop.
• Bring your laptop to the workshop. Come early if you need help setting up.

Pre Work

• If you did not attend the previous SQL workshop on September 28, 2024, or you simply want a refresher, do the following prior to workshop date.

1. Review the following lectures:

   • Hello world in SQL

   • SELECT, LIMIT, and aliasing with AS

   • SQL functions: mathematical and string functions

   • SQL data types

   • SQL functions: datetime, data type conversion, and aggregation functions

   • SQL conditionals

   • Filtering with WHERE conditions

2. Do Hackerrank exercises on your own:
